In April 2009, the inaugural Month of Photography Los Angeles (MOPLA) showcased the enormous photography community, inclusive of commercial, fine art and photojournalism. As the second largest photography community in the United States, Los Angeles provides a distinctive backdrop to the celebration of the photographic image.

NEWS

MOPLA 2010 showcased the work of over 200 photographers through exhibitions and projections all throughout Los Angeles. From Downtown to Santa Monica and every area in between, thousands of Los Angelenos visited our events and supported our programming. MOPLA 2011 is already in it's planning stages and promises to bring big surprises and new programs. Thanks to our team, our sponsors and our photographers! Here's to 2011.
